This striking, award winning work is of a aged whaling Captain reflecting on his life at sea.
The highly detailed scrimshaw art was accomplished on a beautifully curved,
extremely thick bark segment of mammoth ivory.

This beautiful artifact is presented on a pair of small, hand-carved purpleheart mounts.

13 1/2" x 4" x 4 1/2"h

Price includes the original 14" x 17" framed graphite art by artist Jim Stevens
upon which his scrimshaw was based.
